A Victory for Stoke at Stamford Bridge

It says a lot about the gulf in class between the top and bottom of the Premier League when Stoke can regard a 2-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge almost as a victory.

Facing a Chelsea side that had scored 20 goals in its previous three League outings, and having conceded 7 on their last visit to the Bridge, The Potters can breathe a sigh of relief at the relative respectability of the score-line.

A dominant Chelsea performance was not good enough for Carlo Ancelotti, who conceded that his team were not at their best.

Meanwhile, a relieved Tony Pulis, said, 'We worked our socks off and had our moments, but Chelsea had a lot more moments than us.

'They have great players and overall they were the better team.'
