Bendtner and van Persie Injuries rock Arsenal

Just two weeks into the season, Arsenal are already facing a striker crisis with both Nicklas Bendtner and Robin van Persie injured. Bendtner had hoped to be back later this month after picking up a groin injury at the World Cup. But he has had a setback in his recovery and is now likely to be out until November. Van Persie has suffered a recurrence of an old ankle injury, he was withdrawn after just 35 minutes at Blackburn, and is likely to be out for at least a month. |
