Clashes between London's two most successful club's are usually fiesty, action-packed affairs. Here are our 10 best Arsenal Chelsea games of the Premier League era.

Premier League, 4th September 1996

Chelsea went in front when Frank Leboeuf scored from the spot after Steve Bould had brought down Dennis Wise and doubled their lead through Gianluca Vialli.

Goals from Paul Merson and Martin Keown got the Gunners back in it before Ian Wright then made it 3-2 with 13 minutes remaining.

A last-grasp goal from Chelsea skipper Wise ensured it ended honours even.

League Cup Fourth Round, 11th November 1998

Gunners fans will tell you that they rested key players for this one, Blues fans will tell you they don't care.

This was an emphatic victory any way you slice it with Frank Leboeuf, Gianluca Vialli (2) and Gustavo Poyet (two) getting the goals that gave Chelsea their biggest away win over Arsenal.

Premier League, 23rd October 1999

In a thrilling encounter, Chelsea took a two-goal lead through Tore Andre Flo and Dan Petrescu. And the Blues looked to be cruising before a sensational, 15-minute hat-trick from Nwanku Kanu saw the Gunners leave Stamford Bridge with all three points.

FA Cup Final, 4th May 2002

An evenly balance final saw the teams deadlocked at 0-0. Then, on 70 minutes, the Gunners found the opener through an unlikely source, goal-shy midfielder Ray Parlour striding forward and unleashing an unstoppable shot.

Chelsea pushed forward looking for an equalizer but were caught out as another spectacular effort, this time from Ljungberg, won it for Arsenal.

FA Cup Quarter-final, 8th March 2003

John Terry put Chelsea ahead before Francis Jeffers, and a wonderful Thierry Henry goal turned the tie in Arsenal's favour. Chelsea looked to be going out, but an equalizer by Frank Lampard eight minutes from time earned the Blues a replay.

FA Cup 5th Round, 15th February 2004

Before Jose Antonio Reyes started agitating to return to Spain he was a pretty useful player for Arsenal and this was one of his best performances. Chelsea scored first by Reyes equalized with an absolute screamer and then finished the Blues off with a clever second goal.

UEFA Champions League Quarter-final 6th April 2004

Arsenal went into the second leg of this quarter-final tie as favourites having scored a precious away goal in the 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.

Reyes put the Gunners in front just before the break, but five minutes into the second half, Frank Lampard equalized.

Then, with the game finely poised, Wayne Bridge burst into the box to calmly slot to ball past Jens Lehmann and win it for Chelsea.

Premier League, 12th December 2004

Arsenal got off to a flyer with Thierry Henry scoring after just 75 seconds. John Terry drew Chelsea level with a typically thunderous header before Henry got a second for Arsenal. The goal was highly controversy as Henry took a quick free-kick, while Chelsea were busy lining up their wall.

Perhaps spurred on by a sense of injustice, Chelsea poured forward, and got their equalizer through Eidur Gudjohnsen. Honours even in a cracking end-to-end match.

League Cup Final, 25th February 2007

The last League Cup final played at the Emirates saw a pulsating cracker of a match between the two London rivals. Arsenal drew first blood on 12 minutes through Theo Walcott but Didier Drogba soon had Chelsea level.

John Terry was then knocked unconscious by an accidental kick to the head by Abou Diaby. The match was settled by the brilliance of Drogba - rising to head the winner.

There was still time for a mass brawl which resulted in sendings off for Arsenal's Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Adebayor, and Chelsea's John Obi Mikel.

Premier League, 29th November 2009

In a season in which Chelsea completed the double over all three of their biggest rivals, this victory at the Emirates was the most emphatic. Didier Drogba was in imperious form as he scored two and crashed a free-kick against the cross-bar. Vermaelen scored an own goal to complete the rout.

After the game, Arsene Wenger famously claimed that Drogba, "didn't do much."
