Britannia Stadium
  • Ground Name: Britannia Stadium
  • Capacity: 28,383
  • Address: Stanley Matthews Way, Stoke On Trent, ST4 4EG
  • Pitch Size: 115 x 75 yards

In 1977 Stoke City left the Victoria Ground, their home since 1878, and moved to the Britannia.

The new 28, 383 capacity stadium was owned jointly by Stoke City F.C., Stoke-on-Trent City Council and Stoke-on-Trent Regeneration Ltd., until December 2007 when the football club acquired sole ownership in a deal worth 6 million pounds.

The Stadium has four stands but only one enclosed corner, although there are plans to fill in the corner between the Boothen End and the West Stand.

This would take the stadium's capacity to over 30,000.
