Cesc Fabregas a 'Prisoner' at Arsenal

Cesc Fabregas has admitted that he was forced to stay at Arsenal because the club gave him no choice.

In a frank interview, the Spanish midfielder said: ?Barcelona did all they could to sign me but Arsenal told me I had to stay, that there was no way they were going to let me go.

'In the end I had to stay ? but the content of my conversation with Arsene Wenger will remain private.?

Fabregas also reiterated his desire to join Barca, and believes there is no reason why he cannot play in the same team as Barca stars Andres Iniesta and Xavi.

And it appears the feeling is mutual, with the Spanish champions keeping the No. 4 squad number available until the player's expected arrival next summer.
