Champions League Draw and Predictions

Group A: Inter Milan, Werder Bremen, Tottenham, FC Twente.

Not a bad draw for Tottenham and a real opportunity to progress to the last 16. The key will be picking up away points in Germany and Holland.

Prediction: Spurs to finish 2nd behind Inter.

Group B: Lyon, Benfica, Schalke, Hapoel Tel-Aviv.

Group C: Manchester United, Valencia, Rangers, Bursaspor.

Should be pretty straightforward for Sir Alex Ferguson and Manchester United. The 'Battle of Britain' clash with Rangers will generate plenty of interest.

Prediction: United will win the group.

Group D: Barcelona, Panathinaikos, FC Copenhagen, Rubin Kazan.

Group E: Bayern Munich, Roma, FC Basle, Cluj.

Group F: Chelsea, Marseille, Spartak Moscow, MSK Zilina.

Chelsea should progress with ease, although the trip to Moscow will provoke difficult memories for veterans of the 2008 final, especially John Terry.

Prediction: Chelsea to finish 1st, ahead of Marseille and Spartak.

Group G: AC Milan, Real Madrid, Ajax, Auxerre.

Group H: Arsenal, Shakhtar Donetsk, FC Braga, FK Partizan

Difficult away trips to Ukraine and Serbia notwithstanding, Arsenal should win the group.

Prediction: Arsenal should win it but away results will be crucial.
