City are the 'best in the world' says Mancini

Roberto Mancini paid tribute to his Manchester City players are a stroll against European lightweights Red Bull Salzburg in the Europa League.

Mancini said: 'For me, my players are the best in the world. I think David (Silva) is a fantastic player and for him it's a different situation now, playing different football, but after one month he will be ready to go 100 per cent for the team. He will be an important player for the future.

Elsewhere, a weakened Liverpool side had an easy 4-1 win over Steaua Bucharest, at Anfield - with Joe Cole netting his first Reds goal.
