Arsenal 1967 Herbert Chapman introduced the white sleeves to the Arsenal strip and, other than a couple of seasons in the mid-sixties and 2005/06, they've played in them ever since. Birmingham City 1971 The 'penguin strip' is a firm favourite with City fans and the club have revived it a number of times since its first appearance in 1971. Chelsea 1964 Tommy Docherty is credited with the switch from the traditional white shorts to this classic Chelsea strip. Much emulated by other teams playing in blue. Crystal Palace 1976 A classic and classy kit which Palace fans still love. Coventry City 1975![]() Classic football kit which Coventry City played in for 6 years from the mid-70s to early-80s. Ipswich Town 1957 Forever associated with the Ipswich team that won the Second and First Divisions in consecutive seasons in 1960/61 and 1961/62. Leeds United 1961 Leeds changed from their traditional yellow and blue to this all-white kit in 1961. The idea was to emulate Real Madrid and, but for a dodgy ref, the might have done just that and won the European Cup in 1975. Liverpool 1964 Bill Shankly introduced the all red strip in 1964 as Liverpool embarked on the greatest era in their history. Manchester United 1965 Classic football kit associated with the great United team featuring Best, Law and Charlton. Newcastle united 1969 Newcastle won their last major trophy, the 1969 Fairs Cup, playing in this kit. Nottingham Forest 1977 The kit in which Forest were back-to-back European champions. Portsmouth 1954 Pompey wore red socks for the first time in 1947 and it certainly sets them apart from other teams playing in blue. Queens Park Rangers 1963 Classic QPR kit from the 1960's Tottenham Hotspur 1980![]() Spurs have never deviated far from their traditional white shirts and dark blue shorts. This 1980's kit is a classic. West Ham United 1966![]() Classic West Ham Kit worn by the likes of World Cup winners Moore, Hurst and Peters. Wolverhampton Wanderers 1945 The traditional 'old gold' shirt worn until 1954 when the club adopted a lighter shade.
