Desperate Capello turns to Scholes (again!)

After promising to freshen up the England team by introducing fresh, young talent, Fabio Capello has again hinted that he would consider the 35-year-old Paul Scholes. However, after the middfielder embarrassed him by turning down the opportunity to go to the World Cup, Capello will only pursue Scholes if he states his desire to play for England. Capello has also asked the FA for guidance on whether he can pick Spaniard Mikel Arteta, who qualifies for England on residency grounds. |
