Edgar Street![]() ![]()
Edgar Street is a 7,100 capacity football stadium which has been home to Hereford United FC since the club's formation in 1924. The current stadium features four stands; The Merton Stand, on the eastern side of the ground is the only all-seater stand and was built in 1968. It is the nominated family stand and includes the director's box and press box, with the dugouts and players' tunnel located in front of the structure. The Meadow End, located at the northern end of the ground, is a covered terrace and is home to the club's most vocal supporters. The Floors-2-Go Stand, on the western side of the ground, comprises two tiers, with the lower tier terraced and the upper tier seated. It was built in 1974 and is named after the current sponsor. Part of the stand is allocated to away supporters. The Blackfriars Street End, on the southern side of the ground, is a covered terrace which has fallen into a state of some disrepair, making it the most likely candidate for redevelopment. There are plans in place for the development of the area surrounding the stadium, known as the Edgar Street Grid. These include plans for a new football stadium. More Hereford United stuff here;
