Glanford Park![]() ![]()
Built in 1988 to replace the 'Old Showground', Glanford Park was the first new purpose-built stadium constructed in England since World War II. The stadium, located on the outskirts of Scunthorpe, is home to Scunthorpe United F.C. and has a capacity of 9,088. There are four stands; The Scunthorpe Telegraph Stand is on the west side and houses the executive boxes, players' tunnel, team dugouts and home seating. The Study United FC Stand (more commonly called the "Doncaster Road End") is the only terraced stand, and typically houses the more vocal Scunthorpe supporters. The Grove Wharf Stand is at the east end of the ground, and holds seated home supporters. The AMS Stand houses away supporters, with a maximum capacity of 1,678 (although extra seating is often made available for games such as local derbies). More Scunthorpe United stuff here;
