Man City not ready to challenge, claims Ibrahimovic

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed that he turned down a move to Manchester City because the club isn't ready to challenge for major honours.

Ibrahimovic recently ended his unhappy spell at Barcelona by joining AC Milan on loan, with a view to a permanent move.

The player was heavily linked with Man City during the transfer window, but said: 'City must fight Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal - sides which took years to build,"

'They are still a side for the future. I chose Milan because they are a team that can win prizes now.

'City can wait for the future, I can't.'
