Mancini and Tevez at War

The uneasy truce between Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini and his captain Carlos Tevez exploded on Sunday as the two had a blazing row during half-time of the match against Newcastle. The two are said to have stood toe-to-toe in a heated exchange, after Mancini entered the dressing room and heard Tevez say something he didn't like. The manager then made a comment to Tevez who responded by jumping up and confronting him. Other members of the team had to intervene and pull them apart. Manchester City sources later confirmed that the incident did occur, but stressed that the confrontation did not get physical, and that Tevez would retain the club captaincy. |
