Alex McLeish has fallen out with the Birmingham board over his new contract.

The former Scotland manager, who led City back to the Premier League, and finished in a respectable ninth place last season, is currently on £750,000 a year, and wants a rise to £1million.

However, McLeish was left furious after vice-chairman Peter Pannu, right-hand man of owner Carson Yeung, accused him of greed, and commented that he is ‘no Mourinho’.
