Moss Rose is a 6,355 capacity stadium which has been the home ground of Macclesfield Town F.C. since 1891.
The Ground first hosted League football when Chester City ground shared with Macclesfield between 1990 and 1992.
In 1995 Macclesfield were Conference Champions, but were denied entry to the Football League because the ground did not meet League standards (an offer by Chester to allow Macclesfield to play at the Deva Stadium while the necessary improvements were made was rejected by the league).
Macclesfield were champions again two years later and with the neccesary improvements to Moss Rose having been made they were promoted.
The Silkmen beat Torquay United in their first home league match on August 9, 1997 and Moss Rose continues to host professional matches today.
