Newcastle put 'furious' Steven Taylor on transfer list

Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor is reportedly furious after the club put him up for sale. Contract talks between player and club have collapsed over a clause to halve his wages should Newcastle be relegated, but Taylor has hit out at the club for not telling him he was being put on the transfer list. Liverpool, Everton, Aston Villa and Fulham have all previously expressed interest and, with less than a year of his contract to run, the highly-rated Taylor would be available at a bargain fee of around 5 million pounds. |
