Parker, Cole to quit West Ham

After losing their opening 3 games of the season it appears that things are about to get even worse for West Ham fans, with Scott Parker poised for a move to Tottenham. West Ham owners, David Sullivan and David Gold, have stated that they do not want to sell Parker, but the player's refusal to sign a new long-term contract leaves them with little choice. And the club's precarious financial position means there could be other high-profile departures before the transfer window closes. Carlton Cole's future could also leave by Tuesday, with several clubs keen to sign the striker. |
