Portman Road is a 30,311 capacity all-seater stadium which has been the home ground of Ipswich Town F.C. since 1884.
The pitch is surrounded by four stands, the Cobbold Stand, the Greene King Stand, the Britannia Stand and the North Stand.
The Cobbold Stand, formerly known as the Portman Stand, is used to accommodate away fans, and also contains a number of executive boxes as well as seating for home fans.
The Greene King Stand is a two-tiered stand with a seating capacity of approximately 7,000. It also houses the players tunnel, which unusually is situated in the corner of the ground between the Greene King and Britannia stands.
The Britannia Stand, originally constructed in 1952, was updated to a 7,500 capacity all-seater stand in 1990. It houses the directors' box, further executive boxes and the press area.
The North Stand was completely rebuilt in 2001 and has a capacity of around 7,500. It is a two-tier cantilever stand which is divided into an adults-only lower tier, housing the 'hard core' Ipswich support, and a mixed upper tier.
There are statues of Sir Alf Ramsey and Sir Bobby Robson, both former Ipswich Town and England managers, outside the ground.
Nearby Portman's Walk was renamed Sir Alf Ramsey Way in 1999.
