The Recreation Ground is the, 8,504 capacity, home ground of Chesterfield FC.

Inaugurated in 1871, it is one of the oldest football league grounds still in use and, despite a number of improvements over recent years, lacks many of the modern facilities available to rival clubs who have relocated or redeveloped their grounds.

The four stands of the stadium are; The Main Stand, Spion Kop, Compton Street Stand, and Cross Street Terrace.

In 2006, the club's fans voted to relocate to a new 10,000 seater development elsewhere in the town.
