Selhurst Park is a 26, 309 capacity stadium which has been home to Crystal Palace F.C. since 1924. It is owned by Simon Jordan, the current Palace chairman.
The stadium was built on the site of a former brickfield, originally with only one stand, and remained largely undeveloped until 1969 when Palace were promoted to the top flight for the first time.
Thereafter the Arthur Wait Stand was added and the Whitehorse Lane Terrace expanded.
There were further renovations to the ground in 1983 and 1985.
During there tenure at Selhurst Park, Palace have twice had temporary tenants, Charlton Athletic from 1985 to 1991, and Wimbledon F.C. from 1991 to 2003.
