He'll never be Messi... He'll never be Shearer... He'll never be anything but frustrating... but, credit where it is due, he has still ruffled the net in our beloved black and White 70 times and counting... a lot more than many other players deemed "legends" by our Brigade of Sky Sports supporters. Ask 80% of St. James' Park these days to list their 10 all time favorite Newcastle players, and I'll bet other than Shearer, Shola has more goals than every one of them. The boy is NOT a legend... but sure deserves a hell of a lot more credit than the vile abuse he often receives. |
