United want £10 million Toffee

Manchester United are eyeing a transfer deadline day bid for Everton teenager Jack Rodwell, with Alex Ferguson reportedly willing to offer £10 million plus Michael Carrick. Rodwell, a highly rated midfielder who can also play in central defence, has been strongly tipped as a future England international and has already featured at under 21 level. He has been at Everton since he was seven, and the Toffees are desperate to hold on to the player, but may find the offer too tempting to turn down. |
