Vicarage Road is an all-seater stadium, with a capacity capacity of 19,920. It is home to Watford FC who have played there since 1922.

The club had to sell the stadium in stadium in 2003, but after a campaign entitled 'Let's Buy Back The Vic' with donations coming from fans as well as celebrity fan and former owner Elton John, the club was able to repurchase the stadium for 7.6 million pounds in 2005.

There are four stands, the Vicarage Rd Stand, the Rookery Stand, the Rous Stand and the Main Stand.

The 5,800 capacity Vicarage Rd Stand was built following the conclusion of the 1992-93 season, at a cost 2.3 million pounds. Previously an open terrace, the all-seater stand now houses the away support.

The Rookery Stand is the newest part of the stadium. It was built over the course of the 1994-95 season, and has a capacity of 6, 960. It also holds most of the clubs administrative areas, along with the club shop.

The Rookery is the "home end," containing the noisier Watford fans.

The Rous Stand - named after former FIFA president Sir Stanley Rous - runs along the west side of the pitch. It is a two-tiered stand, with executive boxes and a TV camera gantry.

The Main Stand is on the east side of the ground, and contains the changing rooms, tunnel, director's box and press area. The oldest stand of the four, the Main Stand is the only part of the original stadium still standing.
