The stadium has been in existence since 1932 but did not host senior football for 67 years, until Cheltenham won promotion to the Football League Third Division in 1999.

It has a total capacity of 7,300, with a mixture of seating and terracing.

There are 4 stands;

Carlsberg Stand - capacity 1,100. An all-seated stand which was opened in 2005 and is designated for away fans. In2Print Stand - capacity 2,034. An all-seater running the length of the pitch that is sometimes partly allocated to away fans. The stand was opened in November 2001.

Cheltenham & Gloucester (C & G) Stand - capacity circa 2,100. A covered terrace behind the goal, the C & G Terrace is the home standing end.

UCAS Main Stand - capacity circa 1,800. A mixture of terracing at the front and seating at the back, the Main Stand runs along the length of the pitch but is unusual in that it does not stretch the full length.
