World Cup ref, "I made a mistake."

World Cup final referee Howard Webb has admitted he made a mistake in the final by not sending off Nigel de Jong for a 'kung-fu style' challenge on Xabi Alonso. Discussing the incident, Webb said: ‘There are just a couple of things that stand out and one of them was the De Jong incident. I knew it was a high foot, but I didn’t realise how bad it was until later. |
